Radio Reverb · Brighton

The HIV Hour

When Paul created The HIV Hour on Radio Reverb, it was the first live radio show in the world made specifically for people living with HIV. Not a documentary. Not a one-off. A regular, live broadcast — a space where HIV was discussed openly, honestly, and without the usual clinical distance.

Radio Reverb is Brighton's community radio station, and the show reflected the city's spirit: frank, inclusive, and unafraid. Guests ranged from clinicians and campaigners to people sharing their own stories for the first time. The HIV Hour gave those voices somewhere to go.

Paul is happy to share examples of the show with anyone who wants to hear them.
